In 1987 I was an owner of a business which needed to be computerized and for which there was no suitable software available. We bought a Macintosh and I wrote the necessary programs. After ten years as an owner and hands-on manager of a small business operating in a very competitive environment I found programming more satisfying than operating the business, so I sold my interest in it and have been a computer consultant ever since.
Over the last two decades I have worked steadily for a wide variety of employers and clients in many technology positions including analyst, developer, mapping specialist [GIS], network designer, programmer, senior network engineer, systems architect, support, testing, team leader/project manager, technology director and webmaster.
Following the death of my wife I gave myself an extensive break and recently have done several projects for private clients. I am now ready to return to the corporate world. My unique experience and extraordinary skills are a valuable addition to any firm and fit a wide variety of projects. I am open to travel and would consider relocating.
